OS Hardening - Changing IP

Type Windows + R to bring up your computer's Run window. Enter cmd and press Enter to open the Command Prompt window.

Type -

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

The Internet connection goes and that’s normal. Sometimes is better to restart the system.

First we need to enable DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)

Right click your current WIFI

Open network and sharing

Click on WIFI in connections

Click properties

Select IPv4 and click properties

If there is obtain an IP address automatically you can already change IP address

In the obtain DNS server address section – Choose automatically, this should be selected too

Now if these both are on you can turn your router off and on to enable

Go to Google > and type whatsmyIP

Unplug or turn off the net and wait for a min for it to reset

Now we will re-plug or turn it on.
