Resetting forgotten password in Kali Linux -

Restart Kali Linux and highlight the second option ( Advanced option for Kali GNU/Linux) and press the letter E

Replace the word ro with rw and write init=/bin/bash after initrd.gz and press F10 or Ctrl ++-x

To reset the password of Kali Linux write passwd root

Type the new password
Retype the new password

Finally restart the system.

Note: The username will be root and the password toor.
